Karlie (Brown) McCumber is a 2020 Graduate of Utica University, majoring in Biology. She was the Senior Research Assistant, conducting research on induction of sliding motility in the soil bacterium Bacillus cereus from May 2018 until May 2020, and was a Teaching Assistant in microbiology lab courses. Karlie was awarded a prestigious Undergraduate Research Fellowship from the American Society for Microbiology in 2019.
